Privacy Policy
How Primed collects, uses, and protects your information, and the rights you have.

1. Who we are
Primed is operated by Recommendation Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 53 121 562 794) trading as Primed Technologies. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information.
2. Information we collect
A. Information you provide
We may collect information you provide to us directly, including:
- account information
- profile information
- fitness goals
- training plans, events, availability and other constraints
- feedback about how you are feeling or how a session went, such as perceived effort
- preferences
- communications with support
- feedback
- questions
- prompts
- conversations
- attachments
- and any other information you voluntarily submit when using AI-powered coaching features
B. Information from connected services
Primed may receive information from connected devices and services that you authorise, including activity and health records those services supply. The services you can currently connect are:
- Apple Health
- Garmin
- Oura
- WHOOP
- Withings
- FatSecret
The information received may include activity, workout, sleep, recovery, heart rate, HRV, readiness, wellness, body measurement, food and nutrition diary and similar information, depending on the connected service. We will update this list when we add a service.
C. Automatically collected information
Where reasonably necessary, we may automatically collect:
- device information
- operating system
- app version
- crash information
- diagnostics
- usage information
- timestamps
- time zone and local time
- approximate location, where you allow it, for context such as local weather
- IP address where reasonably necessary
- security logs
D. Information Primed creates
To coach you, Primed keeps a longitudinal picture of you as an athlete, which we call your Athlete Digital Twin. It is built from the information above in layers:
- Source records: information as you entered it or as a connected service supplied it, kept with its source and when it was received.
- Calculated records: results of fixed calculations, such as training load, and a single combined record where more than one service reports the same activity, noting which source each value came from.
- Derived athlete state: estimates of your current condition and trends, such as readiness, fatigue and fitness, with information about the source, freshness and quality of the data behind them where available. These are estimates, not measurements.
- Coaching memory and observations: facts, preferences and observations the coach keeps so it can refer back to them. Some observations are kept only for a short period.
- AI-generated coaching: messages, insights, briefings, plans and recommendations produced with AI models. These are generated outputs and may contain errors.
3. How we use information
We generally use your information for purposes such as:
- providing the Services
- generating personalised insights
- synchronising data
- providing AI-powered coaching, personalised insights, conversational assistance and other AI functionality using your training, recovery, health and profile information where you have provided consent
- calibrating athlete-specific models, such as estimates of how you respond to training, using your own data
- reviewing the quality and safety of coaching, including automated reviews
- improving product quality
- customer support
- fraud prevention
- security
- legal compliance
4. AI processing
Primed uses AI models to provide coaching, reasoning, conversation, insights, plans and related functionality. Personalised AI coaching is only enabled after you have explicitly consented within the application.
Before you consent, you can still ask the AI Coach general questions. Your messages are sent to an AI provider so that it can reply, but your profile, health, training and other personal information, coaching memory and derived athlete state are not included.
When you choose to use AI features, Primed may securely transmit relevant information to the following third-party AI providers:
- Google (Gemini API)
- OpenAI
- OpenRouter
OpenRouter is an AI routing platform. It is not the final processor: it forwards each request to the provider of the AI model we have selected for that feature, so both OpenRouter and that model provider process the request. Requests for OpenAI models may be sent to OpenAI directly or through OpenRouter.
Depending on your request, the information shared may include:
- questions and messages sent to the AI Coach
- training activities
- workout history
- sleep data
- recovery metrics
- readiness information
- health information
- fitness information
- profile information relevant to generating personalised coaching
- plans, goals, events and constraints
- coaching memory, observations and derived athlete state
- time zone, local time and approximate location
- photos or images you upload
- other information you have chosen to connect through authorised integrations
Only the minimum information reasonably necessary is transmitted in order to generate AI responses. This information is used solely for:
- generating AI coaching
- answering user questions
- providing personalised recommendations
- delivering AI-powered functionality
AI providers process this information to return responses to Primed. How long a provider keeps request data, and any limited purposes for which it may keep it (such as abuse monitoring), are governed by that provider’s terms for the service we use.
Primed does not provide your information to AI providers for the purpose of training their models. Primed does not use your personal information to train general-purpose AI models of its own; it does use your data to calibrate the athlete-specific models described in section 3.
You may withdraw AI consent at any time from within the application (Settings, Privacy, “Share Data with AI Coach”). After you withdraw, your personal and health information is no longer included in conversations with the AI Coach. Withdrawal does not delete information already held; you can disconnect services or delete your account as described in section 8.
5. Sharing information
We may share information only where reasonably necessary to provide or operate the Services. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- infrastructure providers, including Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, databases, storage, speech-to-text and notifications) and Vercel (hosting for our website and account site)
- AI service providers, including Google, OpenAI and OpenRouter, and the model providers OpenRouter forwards requests to, which process information on our behalf to provide AI-powered coaching, recommendations and related functionality
- authentication providers (Auth0)
- the connected services you choose to authorise
- Apple, for App Store purchases, Apple Health on your device, and weather information based on approximate location
- monitoring, logging and diagnostics providers (Datadog, Better Stack and Firebase Crashlytics)
- email and issue-tracking providers (Postmark and Linear) for service notifications and investigating problems
- usage metering and billing providers (OpenMeter)
- analytics providers
- payment providers where applicable
- legal authorities when required
6. International transfers
Primed is operated from Australia. Our primary infrastructure is located in the United States, and some of our service providers operate internationally, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, appropriate safeguards are implemented to protect your information during these transfers.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our active systems. We may retain usage and billing records where needed for billing, tax and other legal obligations, with usage records no longer linked to your account where possible. Some operational records, such as system and security logs, are deleted automatically after a limited period, generally up to 90 days.
Some information may remain in backups or security logs for a limited period.
8. Your rights
You retain ownership of personal information and data you provide to Primed.
Recommendation Ventures Pty Ltd retains all intellectual property rights in the Primed software, services, algorithms, models, coaching systems and other proprietary technology. This does not give Primed ownership of your underlying personal information.
Depending on your location, including under applicable Australian privacy laws, you generally have rights regarding your personal information. These may include:
Access
Requesting access to the personal information we hold about you.
Correction
Correcting inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion
Requesting deletion of your personal information.
Data portability
Receiving your data in a machine-readable format, where applicable.
Withdrawal of consent
Withdrawing your consent, where applicable.
Complaint rights
Lodging a complaint with your local privacy authority. In Australia, if you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Controls in Primed
- Disconnecting services: you can disconnect a connected service at any time in the app’s connection settings, and Apple Health access is managed in your device’s Health settings. Disconnecting stops new information arriving from that service and removes the stored access credentials. Information already received stays in your account until you ask us to delete it or delete your account.
- Downloading your data: you can download a structured, machine-readable (JSON) copy of your profile, activities, training plan sessions, coach conversations, coaching memory, events and daily readiness information from your Primed account. To request other personal information we hold about you, contact us.
- Deleting your account: you can permanently delete your account and associated data from the app or your Primed account. To protect you, we ask you to sign in again and confirm before deletion. Section 7 describes the limited records we may retain.

9. Cookies and website technologies
Our website uses strictly necessary technologies to function and offers optional measurement cookies and scripts to help us improve user experience and evaluate outreach campaigns.
Optional Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) when analytics consent is enabled in our cookie preferences. No analytics scripts or tracking requests are loaded before analytics consent is active.
Optional marketing attribution (Reddit Pixel): We use the Reddit Pixel when marketing consent is enabled in our cookie preferences to measure campaign conversion events (such as page visits, App Store download clicks, and waitlist signups). No marketing scripts or tracking requests are loaded when marketing cookies are declined or disabled.
Information collected: When analytics or marketing consent is active, these tools collect pseudonymous interaction data, such as pages viewed, button and App Store download clicks, general referrer and campaign attribution parameters, approximate geographic region, and device/browser technical attributes.
Strict privacy safeguards: We do not send your name, email address, form responses, workout details, or biometric and health information to Google Analytics or Reddit.
International processing: Google and Reddit may process pseudonymous measurement data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States, subject to appropriate contractual safeguards.
Consent withdrawal: You can modify or withdraw your analytics or marketing consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” button located in the website footer. Upon withdrawal, optional tracking ceases immediately.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. These security measures generally include:
- hosting on Google Cloud, with data stored in Google Cloud databases and storage
- encryption of information in transit
- encryption of stored information at rest by our infrastructure provider, with additional application-level AES-256 encryption for connected-service credentials and certain health data
- authentication through Auth0, with access and permissions separated between athletes, subscriptions and administration
- credentials for connected services held on our servers, not in the app or your browser
- secrets and encryption keys held in Google Cloud Secret Manager
- fresh sign-in and explicit confirmation before account deletion

Data breach risk and response
While we implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, no online service, software system or third-party provider can completely eliminate the risk of unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure of information.
A data breach could arise from circumstances including cyberattack, compromised credentials, unauthorised access, software or configuration errors, loss of infrastructure security, or an incident affecting one of our service providers.
If we become aware of a suspected data breach involving personal information, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the incident, contain and remediate the risk, assess the potential impact, and strengthen relevant safeguards where appropriate.
Where required by applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and relevant regulatory authorities. Any notification will provide information reasonably available to us about the nature of the incident and steps individuals can take to reduce potential harm.
Users who believe their Primed account or personal information may have been compromised should contact support@beprimed.ai.
11. Children's privacy
Users under 18 years of age may use Primed with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Where we become aware that personal information has been collected contrary to applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the website, app or email where appropriate.
